Toggle Private Browsing

Author(s):

Toggle Firefox's built-in private browsing mode with a toolbar or status bar button. You can also toggle Firefox to auto-start in private browsing mode.

Go to View->Toolbars, Select 'Customize..." and look for the mask icon. Drag and drop this to the toolbar. Select the toolbar icon or the status bar icon in order to toggle in and out of private browsing mode. There is an options menu to allow Firefox to auto-start in private browsing mode. Also, you can either set or rest the preference for prompting upon entering private browsing mode.

See http://ehsanakhgari.org/blog/2008-11-04/dont-leave-trace-private-browsing-firefox for more information on Firefox's built-in private browsing mode.
