Digger provides a menu of URLs formed by repeatedly removing the last section of a hierarchical URL — changing http://example.com/foo/bar to http://example.com/foo — and then by trimming subdomains. In addition, the menu links to Google's cached version of the page, and to the Internet Archive versions.

The menu can be accessed by right-clicking the current site's icon in the URL bar, from the context menu, or (in Firefox 2) by right-clicking the Go button on the toolbar.

Digger was originally based on the Adam Lock's Diggler extension.
