Edit Source

Author(s):

The Edit Source extension for Firefox 13 and later uses the built in source editor component to let you edit text, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML documents. HTML documents can, furthermore, be refreshed based on your edits, so you can see your changes. Think of it as a complement to the built-in Style Editor, but for HTML. It's a great way to experiment, by loading up your favorite interesting web sites or web apps and tinkering with their code to see what effect your changes have.

In addition, you can open a source editor for about:blank and write fresh, new HTML, rendering it in a Firefox tab to see what it looks like as you go.

The code for this extension lives on Github: https://github.com/a2sheppy/Edit-Source
