Hosts switcher

Using the Hosts switcher you can change you hosts file directly from the Firefox interface.

You can define levers and possible options in your hosts file using a simple template language and the menu of Hosts switcher will reflect this.

Additionally if you browse a site which has an entry in your switches Hosts switcher will detect and display which configuration are you using.

A simple example (fragment of your hosts file):

      #127.0.0.1 static.somesite.com
      #127.0.0.1 admin.somesite.com
      #127.0.0.1 profile.somesite.com

      #123.123.123.100 profile.somesite.com
   # @case Staging
      #123.123.123.200 www.somesite.com

# @switch Another site
   # @case Live
   # @case Local
      #127.0.0.1 www.another.com

Having the hosts file above will allow you to switch the current configuration for "Some site" and "Another site".
