Download Manager Tweak
The intent of Download Manager Tweak is in the name. It "tweaks" the Firefox download manager with small changes and doesn't completely redesign it. It makes some optional changes to its appearance and allows it to be opened in a separate window, a new tab, or the sidebar. Additional features beyond appearance include deleting a downloaded file and re-downloading a mistakenly deleted file. The various appearance changes can be disabled, if you don't like the look and just want it to open in a tab or sidebar.
Firefox 53 made changes that broke parts of DMT. It removed some localization data that DMT used, but Firefox was no longer using. DMT 1.0.11 includes its own copy of those localizations. DMT 1.0.12 fixes a German localization file and extends support to Firefox 52 so this page doesn't show DMT as being unsupported.
Firefox 56 broke one last thing (line number 85, column 5). It is fixed on DMT 1.0.13 that has been submitted. This is the last fix before Firefox 57 kills DMT without a total rewrite.
Some old DMT features still missing include: reload after a file is mistakenly deleted, and the colorful icons in the list of downloads.
